Progress Coach
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join one of our Learner Experience Team. The successful applicant will provide effective coaching for students on an individual basis or in a group setting to support students to overcome barriers to ensure course success. You will also ensure students have appropriate information and guidance to facilitate progression and employability. The College offers an excellent pension scheme (LGPS) and the post holder will receive up to 43 days’ paid leave per annum.

Carlisle College is a further education college serving the post-16 education and training needs of Carlisle and the surrounding area. Located in the city centre, we’ve been here since 1954 and every year we help more than 2,700 students take their next steps towards their future.
We offer an extensive range of vocational and academic subjects with over 100 courses available from entry level through to degrees, professional qualifications and community programmes. We offer full time and part time courses, including short courses and distance learning.
We provide students with facilities that reflect those found in industry, combined with teaching staff who are experts in their fields and have real life industry experience – a perfect combination that allows our students to realise their career ambitions. We’ve invested over £30 million in our city-centre campus, including a £5.3 million digital and creative arts complex and a £1 million Advanced Manufacturing Centre. Our world class facilities include state-of the-art equipment and resources, which significantly expands our modern campus into a real learning community. Combined with excellent teaching, we can ensure that learning is more relevant, realistic and enjoyable, providing students with the perfect route into further study or employment.
At Carlisle College we have a long and proud history of working with local businesses and industry, to help meet skills and development needs via our Apprenticeship programmes. We currently work with over 350 employers and over 700 apprentices in the local area.
